1. Lug Width (The Most Important)
The lug width is the distance between the two lugs (the horn-like protrusions on the watch case where the band attaches). This is measured in millimeters and is the primary specification you need when buying a replacement band.
How to measure: Use a ruler or caliper to measure the gap between the inside of the two lugs. If you don't have the watch handy, look up the specifications online — manufacturers always publish lug width.
2. Wrist Circumference
Your wrist circumference determines how many links you'll need and whether you need extra links. Most titanium bands come with enough links for a 15-20cm wrist. If your wrist is larger than 20cm, you may need extra link packs.
How to measure: Wrap a flexible tape measure (or a piece of string) around your wrist, just behind the wrist bone. Note the measurement in centimeters.
3. Case Diameter
Case diameter gives you a sense of proportion — a 26mm band looks proportional on a 51mm watch case but overwhelming on a 38mm case. While not a fit requirement, it affects aesthetics.

How to Measure Your Wrist for a Perfect Fit
