How LDFAS Titanium Watch Bands Are Made
LDFAS develops titanium watch bands through a product-development process focused on fit, finish and everyday use.
1. Design
Each band begins with product design and compatibility requirements for the target watch platform.
2. Prototyping
Design concepts are developed into prototypes so fit, articulation, clasp operation and proportions can be evaluated before production.
3. CNC Machining
Components are machined from solid Grade 1 pure titanium (99.5%+ purity) using CNC precision machining, which achieves the intended dimensions, link articulation and surface details with tight tolerances.
4. Surface Finishing and DLC Coating
Components receive polishing, brushing or other surface treatments depending on the product design. Black models are finished with a DLC (diamond-like carbon) coating rated at 1000 HV hardness — several times harder than stainless steel — for scratch resistance that survives daily wear.
5. Assembly and Adjustment
Components are assembled and checked for movement, clasp function and adjustment requirements.
6. Quality Checks
Product checks focus on dimensions, finish, assembly and compatibility before the band is offered to customers.
